Political backing
Our MP, Ben Lake, a determined supporter, has raised questions in the House of Commons, brought the issue to the attention of government ministers, and continues to build cross-party political support. Questions have also been raised in the House of Lords.

We have support in the Welsh Assembly and Ceredigion County Council, which unanimously backed a motion deploring the RNLI decision. The Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner is also concerned about the complete lack of consultation with the police and other emergency services.

Other backers
The Welsh Fisherman’s Association and a number of other groups, associations, communities, and influential individuals across the UK have also offered their support.
To all those mentioned above, and to the 30,000+ people who have signed our petition, we are very grateful for your support. We also give heartfelt thanks to local businesses and individuals for sponsorship, donations and moral support, and to the professional people in a number of fields who have given their services free of charge.
